with Miki of Aine × Creative You Born in Japan and raised in Boston, Miki is a multicultural kimono lifestyle creator with a strong focus on craftsmanship, sustainability, and personal expression. After graduating from university in Boston, she spent over 25 years working in financial services while also pursuing formal training in kimono styling and Japanese heritage. She is the founder of Aine, a brand dedicated to helping people unveil their inner light through meaningful, experience-based Japanese culture programs. Today, Miki provides Japanese culture experiences for individuals and corporate clients, including team-building workshops, kimono courses, and cultural classes that support mindfulness, confidence, and self-expression. This collaborative workshop combines the art of Japanese matcha with creative ceramic painting in one seamless experience. Participants will be guided by Miki through an immersive introduction to Japanese tea culture, learning about the philosophy, aesthetics, and mindful practices behind the matcha ritual. The experience includes both observation and hands-on participation, allowing guests to connect deeply with the tradition. Each guest will paint their own matcha bowl, with our artist offering guidance on how to work with beautiful colors and techniques.
